What does the role entail?

As a Scientist/Engineer Bioprocess Development (m/f/d) you are part of our Bioprocess Development Team and play a crucial role in the development of innovative cell culture processes for the production of cultured fish. Your tasks include:

Development and optimization of upstream processes for the cultivation of various fish cell lines - from laboratory scale to pilot production.
Conducting experiments to develop feeding strategies and optimize process parameters.
Participation in scale-up and production projects for industrial application.
Development of innovative process solutions to increase efficiency and improve cell culture processes.
Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams with colleagues from the areas of Media Development, Product Development, Quality and Regulatory.
Presentation and discussion of scientific results and ideas in the Bioprocess Development Team, in R&D meetings, company-wide meetings and at conferences.

What skills and experiences should you bring to the table?

Completed studies (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in Biotechnology, Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, or a comparable education with relevant professional experience.
Hands-on experience with bioreactors/spinner flasks and (suspension-based) cell culture.
Ideally experience in filtration, perfusion, scale-up, pilot production and metabolic studies.
Enjoyment of working in a team and good communication skills.
Analytical mindset, troubleshooting skills and a solution-oriented way of working.
Passion for sustainability and the future of food.

Deine Aufgaben:

Als Scientist/Engineer Bioprocess Development (m/w/d) bist du Teil unseres Bioprocess Development Teams und spielst eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Entwicklung innovativer Zellkulturprozesse zur Herstellung von kultiviertem Fisch. Deine Aufgaben umfassen:

Entwicklung und Optimierung von Upstream-Prozessen zur Kultivierung verschiedener Fischzelllinien – von Labormaßstab bis Pilotproduktion.
Durchführung von Experimenten zur Entwicklung von Fütterungsstrategien und zur Optimierung von Prozessparametern.
Mitwirkung an Scale-up- und Produktionsprojekten für die industrielle Anwendung.
Entwicklung innovativer Prozesslösungen zur Effizienzsteigerung und Verbesserung der Zellkulturprozesse.
Zusammenarbeit in interdisziplinären Teams mit Kolleg:innen aus den Bereichen Media Development, Product Development, Quality und Regulatory.
Präsentation und Diskussion wissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse und Ideen im Bioprocess Development Team, in R&D-Meetings, unternehmensweiten Meetings sowie auf Konferenzen.

Dein Profil:

Abgeschlossenes Studium (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in Biotechnologie, Biologie, Bioverfahrenstechnik, Prozessingenieurwesen oder einem verwandten Bereich oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung mit relevanter Berufserfahrung.
Praktische Erfahrung mit Bioreaktoren/Spinner Flasks und (suspensionsbasierter) Zellkultur.
Idealerweise Erfahrung in Filtration, Perfusion, Scale-up, Pilotproduktion und metabolischen Studien.
Freude an der Arbeit im Team sowie gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten.
Analytische Denkweise, Troubleshooting-Fähigkeiten und eine lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
Leidenschaft für Nachhaltigkeit und die Zukunft der Ernährung.
